Ivan Elkin - Managing Director

Ivan Elkin joined Harmonee as Managing Director in November 2012. He is leading the modernization and expansion of the Kardjali smelter project in all aspects: financial, engineering, legal and regulatory. He bears overall responsibility for the project, supervises the teamwork, ensures its proper execution in accordance with the project schedule and represents the company before partners, contractors and other parties.

 

Ivan has extensive experience in the field of investment banking, investment brokerage and credit risk analysis. He has led a wide range of advisory engagements for domestic and international clients, including pre-deal and transaction evaluations, project finance, business strategy and reviews. He also has experience in regulatory compliance and AML.

Jordan Popov - Chief Engineer

Jordan Popov joined Harmonee as Chief engineer in November 2012. He is leading the engineering team focused on the new design development, technologies and construction activities for the modernization and expansion of the Zinc Smelter.

 

Prior to joining Harmonee’s team, Jordan was the leading engineer of INOS Ltd. for more than eight years and Head of the Implementation Department of the Central Laboratory Instrumentation and Automation of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences for more than ten years. Jordan has extensive experience in managing engineering projects in various sectors including energy productions, automation and mechanization of technological processes.

Borislava Filipova joined Harmonee in March 2013. She is responsible for the legal and regulatory aspects of the project for modernization and expansion of the Zinc Smelter. Prior to joining Harmonee she worked for nine years in the legal practice of KPMG. She has led a significant number of legal assignments for international and local clients in the areas of commercial and contract law, investment law, corporate law, real estate, engineering and construction law.

 

She is a co-author of two books on spatial planning and engineering services. Her articles on specific legal questions have been published by reputable professional publishing houses.

 

Borislava has more than sixteen years legal experience in providing legal advice, including due diligence, regulatory compliance in the urban development, design and construction, deal structuring, transaction advice and assistance in the area of engineering and construction law, including engineering and EPC Contracts, M&A, debt financing, litigation, etc.

Martin Brankov – Chief Financial Officer

Martin Brankov joined Harmonee as financial director in December 2012. He leads all aspects of the company related to finance, accounting, legal services, administrative services and human resources. He has an operational and control role in regards to the project for dismantling and demolition of old buildings and the decommissioning of the production facilities with the purpose of clearing the future construction site for modernization and expansion of the Smelter in Kardjali.

 

Martin has worked in the state administration, and leasing companies. He has extensive administrative experience, including project management , administration of assets, participation in public procurement procedures and risk analysis. He has provided a wide range of consultancy services to local and international clients, including due diligence, assessment and analysis of transactions, project financing, business strategy and project analysis. He has legal experience, including in the fields of construction and ecology law.

Gergana Belcheva - Senior Accountant

Gergana Belcheva joined Harmonee in March 2014. She is responsible for the accounting and tax management of the company’s operations and annual financial reporting. She is leading the accounting team focused on various accounting aspects and tax treatment of the project Modernization and expansion of the Zinc Smelter. Gergana’s responsibilities consist of preparation of the annual and monthly financial statements, communication and reporting to the Tax Authorities, and working on assignments connected to tax matters.

 

Prior to joining Harmonee, she worked for seven years as an accountant at MOS Management Ltd., an international company dealing with the construction, financial, operational and marketing management of trading centres. Gergana has extensive experience in preparаtion of annual financial reports according to IFRS, performing of financial due diligences, skills and competences in the fields of accounting and tax treatment.
